Course Description
This 4 hour course provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to deliver Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to a victim who is unconscious and not breathing. This course also includes the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Course Content
How to respond to an emergency situation; recognising the non-breathing unconscious person; performing CPR on an adult and infant manikin; the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator); communicating details of the incident.
Assessment Tasks
Demonstrate competent CPR on an adult and infant manikin; use of an AED; participate in scenarios; provide written and verbal communication of the scenario incident; complete 10 multiple choice questions.
Certificate
Upon successful completion in the practical, scenario, and written assessment tasks candidates will be issued with a nationally accredited Statement of This qualification is recognized in both PNG and Australian workplaces.
