HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy

Course Description

This 8 hour course provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to use specialized equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Course Content

Some of the topics include infection control; manual handling techniques; CPR and AED use, oxygen administration; resuscitation devices; use of airway management devices; suction.

Assessment Tasks

Demonstrate competent CPR on an adult and infant manikin; use of an AED; participate in 3 first aid scenarios; provide written and verbal communication about the scenario incidents; complete 20 multiple choice questions..

Certificate

Upon successful completion in the practical, scenario & written assessment tasks candidates will be issued a nationally accredited.

This qualification is recognized in both PNG and Australia.
