Course Description

This program addresses the information a person needs to know in order to select and safey use a portable fire extinguisher in the workplace. When a fire starts, every second counts. It is therefore critically important that employees are fully trained and competent to use portable fire extinguishers.

Course Content

The program content looks at:  components of fire; fire fighting techniques; extinguishing agents; fire extinguishers and the classes of fires; fire extinguisher operation; general guidelines to adhere to when fighting fires. 

Assessment Tasks

An assessment task of 10 multiple choice questions and answers willl be discussed in class.

Certificate

Each candidate will receive a Certificate of Completion.
