Course Description
Heat-related hazards in the workplace have the potential to cause serious injuries, illnesses, and even fatalities. Heat-related problems can occur in a variety of work environments, not just in environments where the air temperature is high. This course aims to increase people's awareness of HEAT HAZARDS by identifying speciic heat related hazards to reduce the risk of heat-related injuries and illnesses.
Course Content
This program looks at: how the body gets rid of heat; causes of heat-related illnesses and injuries; heat-related illnesses such as heat rash, heat cramps, heat collapse, heat exhaustion, heat stroke; basic first aid management of heat-related illness; prevention of heat-related illness.
Assessment Tasks
An assessment task of 10 multiple choice questions and answers willl be discussed in class.
Certificate
Each candidate will receive a Certificate of Completion.
